I am as much of an artist as I am a scientist and storyteller; I spin my wavelengths into beautiful technicolor tapestries that dazzle, as well as delight. I may not be the center of attention, but I can create the world around that center; this is what I love most about light. The flexibility, the possibility, the impermanence—everything in theatre is here one moment and gone the next. With a key stroke, everything is changed. We take the audience into another world, a world beyond themselves. I bring balance and imbalance. My job is to remain unseen until the quintessential moment.
